Help / Controller reset/discovery and re-provision howto (firmware 2.x)
« Last post by bluespray_admin on April 23, 2017, 05:27:44 PM »
If you changed your router or your wifi password, the controller will no longer able to connect to the new router.  You will have to provision again to tell the controller of the new router or password:

1. Reset the controller (to make the controller forget the last wifi network):
  a. Locate the reset switch on the left side of the controller.
  b. Slide the switch down.  The amber light should flash once then pauses.
  c. When the amber light starts flashing again, let it flash 3-4 times then slide the switch up.
The controller is now reset.

2. Discovery mode
  a. Slide the reset switch down.  This time let the amber light flash all the way.
  b. When the amber light stops flashing, use your laptop or tablet and look for a hotspot named bluespray.
  c. Connect to the bluespray hotspot.
  d. Bring up a browser and type http://192.168.123.1 in your browser URL bar.
You should be able to see the BlueSpray UI.

3. Provision
  a. Click Settings->Network
  b. Click the blue wifi button next to the SSID field.  The controller will show a list of networks that it sees.  Find yours, select it, and click OK.
  c. Enter your wifi password in the Key field and click Save.
If you didn't mis-type the password, and your wifi signal is good, the controller should be able to connect to the router and tells you that it was successful.  If you did, reset and start over.

After successful provision, slide the switch up.  Connect your laptop/ipad back to your wifi network and type my.bluespray.net on the browser or you can log onto your account on our web site to access it.

Feature Request / master valve delay, page jump
« Last post by blue35 on April 04, 2017, 01:00:43 AM »
i have 48 zones with 10 irrigation pumps (master valves), one for each reservoir. i need long delays to allow my reservoirs to fill back up between zones. the way i have it setup is pump one would irrigate zone 1-5 , pump two irrigate zone 6-10, and so on. when i set a delay the master pump will turn "on" during a delay.

eg. i program pump one zone 1-5 with a 5 min delay, schedule to run at 8am, 5pm, and  9pm. at 8am the program runs and at each delay the master pump turns "off". at 5pm the program runs but the delay between 3 and 4 the master pump stays "on". at 9pm the master pump will stay on during delays throughout the program.

it does this randomly. i was told by bluespray that master valves are suppose to stay on during delays but from testing the unit for a while now it seems like it was meant to stay off during delays due to the fact that it stays "off" more then "on" during delays.
to have it stay off during delays would help greatly especially for people in my situation using irrigation pumps that have to wait for water. it would also prolong the life of pumps and valves vs it staying on when its not needed.
i now have to set 48 different programs and schedules. i hope you can imagine how unbelievably long and frustrating  to have to set each zone individually   which brings me to my next feature request. a jump to page or pop up with all the page numbers for schedules and programs would be great. clicking on a cpu or swiping on a smart phone through a ton of pages is driving me insane.
i truly hope you guys will consider these features.

That is a bug.  It should create 3 run times instead of 4.

Help / Daily Repeat Option - Firmware 2.1.1
« Last post by eb4three on March 23, 2017, 02:25:29 PM »
Good Day Everybody!
I updated to the latest firmware (2.1.1) and programmed the daily repeat option and when trying to program it to water 3 times a day (by placing # 3 in the repeat box) it gives me 4 runs per schedule.  I believe that the initial run time is counted as a run and any number added to the daily repeat box is in addition to the original programmed time.  Can some one verify this  and correct the instructions given in the forum?  Thank you,  eb4three

Help / Re: My garage door keeps opening and closing
« Last post by bluespray_admin on March 22, 2017, 11:22:46 PM »
You don't want to enable the door sensor setting when the sensor is not in place.
By default, the door sensor is in open state.  Removing the door sensor will tell the controller that the door is always opened so it will keep trying to close it.

You'd want to put the sensor back, test its state first i.e. close the door and it reads close, open the door and it reads open.

If you don't install the door sensor, disable the door sensor settings.

Announcements / BlueSpray firmware 2.1.1 is released
« Last post by bluespray_admin on February 20, 2017, 08:02:07 PM »
We are pleased to announce the release of BlueSpray firmware version 2.1.1.  This release is kind of unexpected due to a bug fix.

Feature added:

- Daily repeat: you can tell the controller to water X minutes apart, Y times.  For example, if you want to water at 10AM, 1PM and 4PM, you don't have to create 3 start times.  Just tell the controller to water ar 180 minutes apart, 3 times, starting at 10AM.  This feature is designed with nurseries and indoor growers in mind, but can be used for cycle and soak as well.

Bug fix:

- NOAA has changed its weather forecast API.  This release is all about this bug.  If you're using the conserve feature, you will want to update.
