Help / Re: Garage Door Controller Module
« on: August 27, 2017, 07:40:53 am »
Thanks for responding. I have checked the terminal ends for continuity when the garage door on Bluespray is activated. There is none. If I short the two leads coming from the garage door opener at Bluespray, the door opens and closes appropriately. I have tested the replacement relay with my bench power supply before I installed it and there was a very audible click and continuity. I have also tested it at 2.5V .05A. The click is far less audible, but switch in the relay functions correctly. I'm no electrical engineer, but my guess is that the relay isn't getting enough voltage to activate.

Help / Garage Door Controller Module
« on: August 25, 2017, 08:43:45 pm »
Well it's been almost 4 years since my last problem, and I'll be the first to say I've gotten my moneys worth with my BlueSpray. Very happy with it and that's why I'd like to fix it and keep it working. One morning I opened the kitchen door to the garage and saw the sun. The garage door failed to close at night. Sensor checks out. The wiring to the opener is good. I can faintly hear the relay on the door module click as I activate it from my phone. No continuity as the relay activates. I can't find a replacement, so I replace the JRC-21F 4100 relay with a exact model. Thank you Ebay. To my surprise, same faint click. Awww D@&%@! I can't see any damage the SMDs on the PCB. If a replacement for the module is available, I'm not sure that will fix it. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks for reading...

Help / All LEDs on and no connectivity
« on: May 21, 2014, 10:55:13 am »
Had a storm last night but never lost power. Woke up this morning and noticed all three of the LEDs were lit and I couldn't connect. I tried power cycling several times and even checked the fuse. Didn't have time to try a reset but will when I get home from work. Sure hope it's not bricked.

Ok..This is a simple one.
Under Settings/Weather, after entering or changing one of the fields and hitting Save, all the numbers in all the fields go blank. Not even a zero. If you change to a different tab and go back to Weather, it's still blank.
But if you refresh the browser, or hit Cancel after hitting Save, the data comes back and you see that the changes have been saved correctly.

Really hope your product does well and you're having trouble keeping them in stock.

I did find a work around so no big deal.

Thanks!

Bug Reports / Hate to be a PITA, but can't save a new Schedule Settings.
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:32:12 am »
When trying to add another schedule settings in the Schedule tab, I'll click on the New button, enter in the appropriate info, click on Save, and it will not add the new schedule. It just goes back the the same number of schedules there were originally.
Hope that explains. Let me me know if you need more info.

It's stuck in the ON status and the button is green. I had it in the standby mode when I applied the update.

Thanks for replying so quickly and no hurry since I've turned my schedules off. I'll leave it running over the winter to keep my garage door closed at night.

Bug Reports / Controller Status: button broken with update
« on: November 16, 2013, 04:27:56 pm »
I tried uploading the update last night from a wired computer using IE 10. It hung up on 'Updating' and the spinning circle of death. After about 10 minutes I cancelled out of it and it looked like the update took, but things weren't right. That's when I remembered to use Firefox and promptly installed it. I tried the update again and it worked flawlessly.
I even restarted the controller via the webpage, and then went out to the garage and pulled the plug for a minute just to be safe.
Everything seems to be working except the Controller Status button. It won't change status. Granted I just had the irrigation system blown out for the winter last weekend, but I'm confident BlueSpray is working.
Anyone else have this problem?
I do like the mobile version! Much easier to navigate on my iphone.

Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Give me a reason to pull the trigger

Had it for over a month now. Even added the garage door option. Love it!
It's so easy to tweak the schedule which changes daily with our work. Pick up the tablet while watching TV and done. The yard gets watered when I want it.
The only improvement I can suggest is a mobile app. It's almost impossible to get the iPhone logged in correctly using Safari, or Chrome.
The offer to be a beta tester is still out there.
Thanks for a great product.

Amazon has my order!

I had to go into the office an hour early today and didn't shut the sprinklers off before I went to bed.
No water pressure for my shower this morning was enough reason to make the purchase today.
I haven't seen the phone interface, but will certainly be checking for updates. I wish I could help, but I'm a hardware geek. Writing code is not my forte, but I'd be more than happy to be a tester.
Let me know!

General Discussion / Give me a reason to pull the trigger
« on: August 18, 2013, 02:38:42 pm »
After a couple weeks of research, I've determined that your product meets and exceeds all my requirements.

All except that pesky mobile app.

I have a feeling as soon as I see it, I'll be putting one in my garage. Or waiting till next season, which ever comes first.
Or maybe someone has a good reason I should go ahead and get one now?

Help / Controller IP configuration
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:44:36 pm »
Please provide more technical info on how to configure this controller on a home network. I don't see anyplace where I can change the static IP (192.168.1.1) to match my home subnet (10.0.0.X).  Waiting with interest to see your reply to Vans1330's problem with duplicate IPs.
