Help / Seasons problem
« on: September 17, 2016, 12:03:08 pm »
Setup my Season settings when I first got my controller. Summer was 100% and have Fall set to drop off to 40%.  Went to my Fall season a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't appear to changing station run time at all.  My logs show run times to still be at 100% level. Went out and watch one station the other evening and it still ran at 100% Summer setting.  Anybody run into this??

Help / Re: Rain Sensor
« on: August 21, 2016, 07:41:55 pm »
The controller considers the rain sensor tripped when the rain sensor goes from dry to wet.

If I may make suggestion for a firmware update:  Should be option to start delay from dry to wet or from wet to dry.  I currently have my rain sensor delay set at 3 days. If I have a one day cloud burst, between the delay and my sensor drying out, my water schedule should start back up at just the right time.  Recently though, we had a stretch of rain that lasted for 5 days.  My 3 day delay was used up during that period and on day six when my sensor dried out ( takes about a day) my system started watering a yard that after 5 days of rain really didn't need it. Just a little more flexibility would be helpful.

Just want to be clear on rain sensor delay and what constitutes tripped.  Does the sensor delay begin when the sensor is wetted or when the the sensor is wetted and dried out??

Help / Re: Upgrade to 2.0.2, unit no longer responding at all
« on: July 10, 2016, 10:33:49 pm »
No doubt could be a software issue but please be aware that a intermittent or high resistance connection in zone wiring could easily mimic a software problem. Don't know if you have ever checked how the wires are connected at any of your zone actuators, but if the wires are just twisted together or speed nutted, this is very bad news in general. Twisted copper in a low voltage (24v) circuit exposed to wide temp and moisture extremes is just asking for connection problems over time. Over the years dealing with various zone connections and cut wiring on my system I always solder the wires back together. Provides zero volt drop connection and eliminates problems further down the road.

Just kind of taking a stab at this......looks like your system was working well for several days and then you get a "no zones detected" error. Cant speak for how the Bluespray collects or reports errors, but with no zones appearing it could be a wiring problem outside of the Bluespray unit, in particular the COM wire out to your zones. Have had this happen to me when lawn care personnel chop the multiconductor cable going to my zones with weedeater or such. Sometimes varmints can damage the cable too. Don't know if your handy with a multimeter, would be easy to check at your Bluespray unit.

Bug Reports / Spike and Surge
« on: July 06, 2016, 08:31:31 am »
Got my BlueSpray up and running and it is fantastic.  Looking forward to any improvements down the road. I have a question......the power supply unit seems to be pretty robust, does it have spike/surge suppression built in to protect itself and the unit or something else required?
