General Discussion / Firmware 2.2.2
« on: February 18, 2020, 06:57:14 pm »
I just noticed that Firmware 2.2.2, dated 10/30/2019, is available for download within the controller's GUI (Settings > Administration).

I'm happy to report that 2.2.2 fixes the bug in 2.2 that I complained of here:
https://www.bluespray.net/forums/index.php?topic=471.0

Warning: You cannot download it from <https://www.bluespray.net> because that page links to version 2.2 from 2018.

Bug Reports / 2.2 disables Plus button in History view
« on: April 14, 2019, 02:58:35 am »
Clicking the + (plus) button in the History tab no longer does anything after updating the firmware from 2.1.1 to 2.2.

I tested it with several Mac browsers: Safari, Chrome, Chromium and Firefox.

Reverting to firmware 2.1.1 fixed it.

Bug Reports / Re: "Use Once" Schedule bug?
« on: May 08, 2017, 10:07:20 pm »
Thanks for your prompt reply.  I just verified that your solution does work.  It's a lot of steps to do something that should be simple, but at least it works.

FYI, if the resulting task is scheduled for a future day, it does not appear in the Calendar, which is disconcerting, but it does appear in Today's Runs when the scheduled day arrives.

Bug Reports / I believe you misunderstood my request
« on: May 08, 2017, 05:55:55 pm »
I was not questioning the logic of counting from 0 instead of 1.

I was requesting that you redefine the Effective Date to be the first watering date of a repeating schedule, regardless of the repetition pattern.  Users who want to create or edit a schedule know the date they want the watering to begin.

If you change the Effective Date per my suggestion, it enables a simple work-around for my other concern regarding the inability to program a Once Only schedule.  A Once Only schedule could be approximated by creating a repeating schedule whose Effective Date is the desired date and whose repetition interval is so large (9999 days) that the 2nd repetition never will happen.

Bug Reports / "Use Once" Schedule bug?
« on: May 08, 2017, 07:55:18 am »
How can I configure a schedule to run on only a single, specified day?

In the Schedules window, "Active" popup, "Use Once" seems to be ignored.  The schedule appears every day in the calendar, the same as if Active were set to Yes.

If what I want is impossible in the GUI, is there an HTTP command that will do it?

Bug Reports / Re: New BSC24i-UE Issues

6 months ago I submitted a similar bug report:

In the /mob/ mobile web page, under “Active Zones”, there is a bug in the remaining time display for a zone started manually. If you put the mobile device to sleep while the zone is running and then wake up the mobile device, it appears that a second script is initiated for displaying the remaining time counter without stopping the first script, so that both scripts are attempting simultaneously to display the time, so that the displayed time rapidly toggles between two values.

Bug Reports / Re: Effective Date offset when Run Interval = Skip N Days
« on: October 04, 2016, 06:35:15 am »
I'm sorry, but that's contrary to the normal dictionary definition of "effective", and it's not what a user expects.  "Effective" means doing something, not starting a clock to do something in N+1 days.

Why make it so difficult and confusing for the user to specify the date the first watering occurs?  This is a simple user interface oversight that should be trivial to correct, so why stubbornly defend a non-intuitive design error as "by design"?

Bug Reports / Effective Date offset when Run Interval = Skip N Days

In Settings > Schedules > Run Interval, the Effective Date does not work as expected when the run interval is set to Skip N Days.  The Effective Date should be the first day the schedule runs.  Instead, the first run occurs N+1 days after the Effective Date.
