Help / Rain Sensor
« on: June 08, 2014, 08:16:39 pm »
I just replaced my Irritrol RD-900 with the Bluespray system.  So far I'm very satisfied with the change.  My old system didn't have a rain sensor but I'm interested in hooking one up the the Bluespray system.  Is there any particular one that is best?  Are there any wireless sensors that are compatible?  I'm somewhat of an sprinkler system rookie so I appreciate the help.  Thanks.

I can't seem to find any information about the garage door sensor part of the system.  I see how to install it, but I don't know where to get the necessary hardware.  Is it something special that I need to order from Bluespray?

Excellent.  Thank you.

On another note, are their any plans for an IOS app for iPhone and iPad?  The smartphone native webpage is okay, but it would be really nice to be able to do it straight from an app without having to mess with Safari.

Also, the wires were connected to a place labeled "Earth Ground" on the Irritrol circuit board.

They are not from the power supply.  Those were separate wires.  They come out of the ground with the other wires.

My Bluespray came in the mail today and I got it all wired up and running this evening.  Everything seems to be running fine but I have two wires that I don't know what to do with.  I ran all 8 zones to the right connections, the common wire to the right connection and the master valve to the right connection.  But, I still have two wires that come out of the ground from my old system that I don't know what to do with.  They are labeled "ground" but I'm not sure if they are needed.  Right now they aren't connected anywhere but the system seems to be working fine.  Any ideas if this will be an issue?  Am I missing something?  Thanks for your help.
