Title: My garage door keeps opening and closing

I can not figure out why my garage door keeps opening and closing when connected to the controller, i have to remove the garage door sensor on the controller to stop it.

You don't want to enable the door sensor setting when the sensor is not in place.
By default, the door sensor is in open state.  Removing the door sensor will tell the controller that the door is always opened so it will keep trying to close it.

You'd want to put the sensor back, test its state first i.e. close the door and it reads close, open the door and it reads open.

If you don't install the door sensor, disable the door sensor settings.
