Feature Request / Google Map integration
« on: May 14, 2014, 01:25:23 am »
Google map integration is a great addition.  8) Especially, if you have a large property.  One addition that would be helpful is the ability to have more than one map.  This would be especially helpful for large properties.  What would be nice is a "master" Google earth map showing the entire property with select region hot buttons only.  These buttons would then open up a zoomed in map of that region only.  This way the main map would not be cluttered with all the icons overlapping upon one another.  Only the region hot keys would show up on the master map.  The zoomed in map could then show the zone icons for that particular area only.  This is similar to what Hunter industry does (although they have limitless levels of zoomed maps for large commercial operations).  They call this there IMMS (Irrigation Management & Monitoring Software).  You may want to look into this.  This and an upgraded metal or stainless steel controller to match a mainstream commercial grade controller (i.e. like the Hunter I-Core or ACC1200) would moved you into the big league.

Feature Request / Smart Phone App Planned?
« on: August 10, 2013, 01:13:31 am »
Are there plans to develop a smart phone app for the iphone?  Without it, I suspect your controller is going to have limited success.  Programming, running stations, etc using the web browser on my iphone is very limited at best.  I suggest you research the app available for the IrrigationCaddy.  It is very easy to use on a smart phone and runs circles around this interface.  At this point, I am very disappointed with this controller.

Also I suggest you forgo the graphical UI since it is unlikely to closely match anyone's actual yard.  Instead, might I recommend a simple list of zones and programs.  The way it is now, I find myself accidentally moving the sprinkler icons all over the place as I am forced to scroll around the screen on my iphone.  Is there a reason the icons can't be set to stay put once placed?
