The power to the expander board is to just switch on/off the terminal, and it's AC only.

We plan to support multi sensors per installation.
We're looking at available EOM sensors right now.  But if we can't find anything that we like, we may make it ourselves.

The controller is capable, we just have other priorities to work on right now.

We are taking an wait and see approach with Et.  From our research, Et has not yet caught on with the consumers because it is difficult to use, and not reliable.

Not saying that we won't, just don't see a goo ROI for it.  We think our automatic seasonal water budget can save as much as Et and íts easier to use.

Another reason why we're hesitant on Et is that we're seeing water restrictions are now being placed by water authorities.  With the drought affecting everyone and water is getting more scarce, water restriction will take precedent over Et.

We're also looking into soil sensor technology, which is gaining support in the industry, which can provide a more accurate means of watering.

The 1st pin on the expander board is power.  Pin 1-8 on the expander board is for zones (or solenoids) #9 through #16 or any thing that can be turn on/off with 24V AC.

We have tried to power an expander board with a 12V AC transformer and connect a 12V AC light to each of the terminals on the expander board and were able to turn it on with a separate program for lights.  But that was just an experiment to see the controller's capability, and it is something we'll certainly look into in the near future.

Hmm... it's just basic HTTP authentication.  Evidently it works with other browsers, but we'll investigate the problem with safari.  Thanks.

If you have a 16 zone controller, you can add (drag the sprinkler head) up to 16 zones.

Yes, the expander board can be powered by a 12V power source independently, but it's already wired up to the 24V source.  Also, each of the terminal can handle up to 4A, and depends on how many lights you have it might exceed the amperage ratings.  How many lights do you have and how do you want to program them?

Theoretically, it can be done, but we have not tested it and cannot support it.

seedar,

Is this the account login on www.bluespray.net or the login to your controller?

You can use local networked picture, and it should show up as long as your browser can access it.  However, you won't be able to see it from the internet though.

In version 1.2, we plan to integrate Google map as an option to hosted picture.

We just treat a terminal as a zone.  You can connect anything that runs on 24V AC to it.  Yes, you'd want to run in concurrent mode to turn on multi lights at the same time.  Programming is a bit tricky, but it can be done.

What firmware version is your controller?

General Discussion / Re: installation of wires to bluespray
« on: April 08, 2014, 09:13:23 pm »
Yes, your Hunter's COM goes to BlueSpray's COM, the COM next to M, not the one next to 24V.
If your SEN1 and SEN2 are for rain sensor, connect to RAIN on BlueSpray.
If you have a master valve or pump relay, connect it to M.
If you use our power supply, connect the 2 wires to 24V and CỌM  If you use your hunter's power supply, those 2 yellow wire goes to 24V and COM, I think.  You might want to measure which wires gives you 24V.  We recommend that you use ours.

The wifi mode is n & g.  How far away is the controller from the router?  Maybe it works for you in b because b range is better.

The controller's login is just basic authentication.  I think it's more likely just safari.  We will look into it to get more details.
What about other browsers such as chrome or firefox from Mac?

1. Which login do you mean?  Login to your account on www.bluespray.net or your controller login?
2. Yes, you can.  By default, the controller runs in stack mode i.e. serially.  In this mode, only one zone is on at a time, for a reason: residential homes may not have enough pressure to operate more than 1 zone.  Operating more than 1 zone also requires more power.  Our power supply can handle more 2-3 zones at a time, but if you have a master valve, that's another zone.

If you want to turn on more than 1 zone, select "No" for stack mode.  For all practical purposes, we do not recommend this unless you really know what you're doing.
